Lewis Allen Alderson and Emma Elizabeth Roberts Alderson were married in Sheridan, Wyoming on December 15, 1892. They began a small cattle ranch about a hundred miles north in Rosebud County, Montana. Over the years, along with their three sons, they purchased small ranches around them, building their land into the large ranch that is still in the Alderson family and still known as the “Bones Brothers Ranch.”In 1915, oldest son Floyd left the ranch to become a stage coach driver in Yellowstone Park.
