    Lovely Vintage Handcrafted and Signed Aksel Holmsen Gold Vermeil over Sterling Silver Dimensional Sailing Ship Pin or Brooch, with Vivid Blue and White Guilloche Patterned Enamel.   The brooch measures just over approximately 1 and 5/16 inches wide, by just over about 1 and 1/4 inches high, and just over about 1/4 of an inch deep, not including the pinback. (Included is a US Quarter in the photographs, for the measurement-challenged and ruler-averse.) Standard locking pinback. Stamped on the back, "Norway Sterling", "925S", and signed with Aksel Holmsen's Stacked "X" mark. Weight is approximately 5.5 grams, which includes the enamel weight, of course.   This brooch is in good vintage condition. It will have all of the expected surface scratches and tiny dings to the silver from age and normal wear, though no dents or creases are visible.
