sunshine & shadow quilt

Also known as 'A Trip Around the World,' this c. 1900s quilt is a true heirloom. A sea of blue chambray fabrics in a one-patch pattern is centralized by a diamond. The effect of this quilt lies entirely with the mixing of fabrics - the lighter and darker shades of blue work together to draw the eye into the center. A stunning work of art, this entirely hand-stitched quilt is clean, in excellent condition, and perfect to be used, displayed, and passed down for many years to come. Size: 68" x 74" Condition notes: Some age discoloration on the backing, especially in areas where the quilt was folded.  Most items available on Twice Dear are vintage or antique, some dating back over 100 years! As with most vintage pieces, items may have wear & tear -- and that's part of their charm.
