“Waiting for the Night” -Bat - Original Painting

  Whimsically painted Bat nestled among pines, against the night sky Bats are among my favorite animals - so mysterious and downright cool. During summers I stand out on my deck at sundown and brave the mosquitoes just to watch the bats fly over the pines and into my backyard to make their nightly circles around the house, before it gets too dark to see them. I imagine them nestled in those pine trees, waiting for the moment when the light in the sky is just right, to begin their evening ritual. These quiet moments inspired me to create this painting.  This is an original painting signed and dated by the artist. 8”x8” acrylic painting on a 1 1/2” deep wood panel that can be displayed on a shelf or mantle or hung on a wall. Sides are unpainted wood.
