If you've never seen a Martian sunrise, then you're missing out on one of the most beautiful natural phenomena in the solar system. But what's even more amazing is watching the sun rise over one of humanity's first permanent settlements on Mars: Starbase. The base is still under construction, but already it's an impressive sight. It sits atop a towering mountain, surrounded by vast canyons and plains. And when the sun rises, it casts a long shadow over all of Mars. It's hard to believe that just a few years ago this place was nothing more than an idea; now it's becoming reality. With each passing day, Starbase becomes more entrenched as humanity establishes its foothold on Mars.
