We selected this exceptional barrel from Yahara Bay Distillers in Madison, WI. This Straight Rye Whiskey (95% rye, 5% malted barley) endured 8 glacially-frigid Wisconsin winters before, at long last, escaping to a tropical paradise - a rum barrel. Sweet and spicy with an impeccable blend of Midwest hospitality and gentle island breezes, our rum barreled straight rye whiskey is truly the best of both worlds.   Tasting Notes: Complex and sweet with notes of maple syrup, orange peel, plum, caramel creams, and baking spices.    The sister barrel to our inaugural YB1 release, this rye whiskey presented with all the complexity of its sibling (including the HAZMAT proof), but with a heavier dose of dry oak on the palate.
