Liberty or death! Joanna Troutman, an 18 year old from Georgia, constructed this flag and sent it with a Georgian battalion that was headed to help the Texans in their fight for independence from Mexico. When the Georgia volunteers rolled into Velasco on January 8, 1836, the flag was unfurled above the American Hotel. It was then carried to Goliad, where it was raised as the National flag when the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed. Thanks Joanna for an awesome flag! This Troutman Lone Star Flag Hat has a low profile with an adjustable strap and curved visor. • 100% chino cotton twill • Unstructured, 6-panel, low-profile • 3 ⅛” crown • Adjustable strap with antique buckle • Head circumference: 20 ½” - 21 ⅝”
