The Ruins of Fall

Jessica and I had a camping trip planned with the kids on the North Shore of Minnesota for months and I just prayed our luck would be different. Watching the forecast as our dates approached it became abundantly clear that we were going to get wet.On our second day we decided to head over into Wisconsin, as there was a small town Jessica wanted to explore that I had told her about. We decided to hike to a waterfall I had visited the previous fall on the way (the one pictured). It also turned out that we drove out of the storms and had a beautiful day!After we were done in Wisconsin we went back to our campsite and packed up camp and started driving that night. Strong storms were going to start in the next few hours and our tent had already leaked enough for us the night before.All in all it was a quick and wet trip but we certainly made the most of it, and I got this image while I was there so you won’t find me complaining too much!
