The HARDWARE DROP HEIGHT* Whether the Euro Fitter will be on the top or the bottom of the shade (most often, for pendant lights the fitter is on the top; and for table lamps, the fitter is on the bottom) If you need a nonstandard size Euro Fitter** *The HARDWARE DROP is how deep the hardware is recessed into the shade as measured from the edge of the shade. It is most commonly between 0"-3", but unlike spider rings, there is no standard height. Every shade can be different as it was designed to compliment the needs of its specific lamp. If you choose the wrong drop height, your shade will not sit at the correct height on the lamp.
