Sunshine Came Softly

This view of a sunrise in a urban setting gets the full on Fauve treatment — intense color, simplified rendering style, and expressive paint handling. The trees are shown in brilliant red, a common effect of intense light I've noticed on early mornings in the cooler months. Otherwise, I let the colors dominate and/or harmonize as the situation demands. The sides are painted brown, and it arrives wired and ready to hang.
