Using gestural ink washes to draw a live model's pose, artist Gail Ragains directly applies her medium in fast strokes. She uses an expressive approach to quickly record the subject's form, followed by more intentional lines created using a bamboo reed dipped in ink. The artwork shows a sense of urgency and intuition as she captures the subject's energy within a five-minute timeframe.
