Contrails

This is one of my favorite mid-century modern homes. The roof looks like it's about to lift the house into the skies, up there with the jets, says artist Mitchell Freifeld. Everything is stripped to the essentials, minimalism. A midday scene featuring angular architectural details balanced with the curve of the pool, all clad in a cool color palette. To lay back on the chaises and watch the contrails disperse into the clear blue sky and listen for the sonic booms, although I haven't heard one in a long time.
