The Chase

Kinetic impressionism style. Inspired by a photograph of a dog running and pencil sketched on canvas. Water soluble oil paint was used and applied with artists fingers (wearing gloves). Details were added later using a nylon brush. Once the overall image was completed, the painting was left to dry. After drying, it was moved to the artist’s studio floor where he whisked paint in random, but authoritative strokes — a speckling technique which replicates water splashing.
