Zea mays subsp. mays Approximately 50 seeds per pack. Germination: 92% Dec 2022 DISCOUNTED SEEDS 50% OFF 'Looney Dent' is an early 1900s variety from southeastern Tennessee, selected by a C. S. Looney of Winchester. It was introduced to modern growers in 2020 by our partners at Southern Exposure Seed Exchange. This is a rare old Southern white dent corn famous for its great flavor (good for grits) and said to be a favorite of moonshiners! The plants are sturdy and medium-tall, and they do well even in poor soil. 9-12 in. ears are densely packed with good-sized seeds, 16-18 rows, good husk coverage, 1-2 ears/stalk. CORN GROWING GUIDES
