Soft, warm, and remarkably light, Mongolian cashmere is one of the world’s most treasured natural fibers. Our cashmere is sourced through networks of sustainability-focused herder cooperatives across Mongolia. These partnerships allow us to maintain transparency from fiber to finished yarn while supporting the communities who raise the goats. We work with the same herding families each season, building long-term relationships and consistent quality from year to year. Mongolian cashmere naturally occurs in three base colors: white, tan, and brown (we use Cream, Vanilla/Almond, and Warm Gray as names). The different goat breeds that produce these colors strive in different regions of the country. As such, the specific region and village that each of our cooperatives operate and our cashmere is sourced is noted on the label.
