Incense can be burned while the lid is on the box which has a black iridized glass framing a solid pane of clear iridized artist glass. These two types of glass are cut and assembled to create a recessed tray which will allow for the ashes to be better caught while burning incense.  The lid can also be removed and used on its own anywhere in the house, as a typical incense burner, while the bottom stays perched on an altar or a special spot in the home.  This burner also features a built in crystal wall to separate storage space for incense sticks and cones, a lighter, or even your preferred ritual dressing oil.
