Long Lost Recipes of Aunt Susan (Patty Vineyard MacDonald Editor)

“Aunt Susan” was born Edna Vance in 1893. Aunt Susan was her pen name for columns she wrote for The Oklahoman in the late 1920s. Her career also included a radio program of recipes and homemaking tips. Cooking classes. Food fairs. A stint with McCall’s Magazine and with promoting Betty Crocker. The author says, “no one woman has left a larger, more lasting imprint on our regional lifestyle than” Aunt Susan.  The recipes are not as out of date as you might think. The illustrations and old photographs are a delight. Great addition to a community cookbook collection or Oklahoma.
