Huntley & Palmers Chinoiserie Double Crane Biscuit Tin, Antique

  This antique biscuit tin by Huntley and Palmers is fantastic! It's been embossed with a Chinoiserie scene of double cranes which are a sign of good luck and prosperity. It’s chippy and worn but the scene is vivid and vibrant with its lovely colors shining through. The design of the handles and finial on top are SO great… especially with that hint of cobalt blue in the center. These old tins are highly collectible and you can see why. It was made in England circa 1920s and is marked: Huntley & Palmers LTD Biscuit Manufacturers Reading & London England Grand Prize Grand Prize Paris 1878 Paris 1900 It measures approximately 8.5" tall x 6.75” wide x 3.75" deep.
