To adjust the length of the rope, simply unscrew the plastic caps at the end of the grip, use pliers to pull out the smaller weight first, then tap the handle straight down on your palm or a hard surface to remove the larger weight, push the rope out and use pliers to loosen the metal clamp holding the rope, adjust to desired length and cut the extra rope and re clamp the rope.
