Ora-Aid Intraoral Wound Dressing
Ora-Aid is a two-layered intraoral wound dressing composed of a water-soluble polymer on the adhesive side and a water-insoluble polymer on the protective side. Specific ingredients include ethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, purified water, castor oil, and PET. The adhesive layer activates with moisture to create a gel for attachment, while the protective layer shields the wound from food, bacteria, and other irritants. Ora-Aid wound dressing is intended for the management of oral wounds, injuries and ulcerations of the gingival and oral mucosa, including stomatitis, minor chafing and traumatic ulcers, abrasions caused by braces and ill-fitting dentures, and lesions associated with oral surgery.
