👦 6 to 9 years old⏱ 1 hour In this drawing and painting class, educator and artist, Brooke David, introduces children to the basic concepts of drawing and painting, allowing them to explore creativity, develop fine motor skills, and build confidence in their artistic abilities. The curriculum emphasizes fun, exploration, and self-expression through simple techniques and learning to see like an artist while highlighting diverse and inspiring artists who may not be as widely known but have made significant contributions to the art world. Each session combines learning about these artists with art projects inspired by their styles. Hands-on activities will follow, allowing students to create artwork inspired by their learning. Learn about drawing tools, basic shapes, collage, types of lines, drawing with detail, shadow and light, color mixing, observation, painting with brushes, and more! $55 per class - 8 Week Semester No prior art experience required.
