Rack and Pinion - Power - 1978-83 Omni - Rear Steer - 8012300

Power Omni gears are hard to come by to remanufacture. Luckily, we came up with a replacement GM rack. On the Driver side, there is a welded-on bracket that has the same hole pattern as the original. The Passenger side has a similar mounting system. The Pinion size is different, so you will need to change U-Joints! As the traditional Dodge/Plymouth Omni Rear Steer rack and pinions are difficult to find and rebuild, UniSteer has come up with a replacement rack. Our Omni replacement rack uses a GM rack that has been custom made to the same specifications as the old Omni. This includes a custom mounting bracket to replicate how the original OEM Omni mounted. The rack is rebuilt to the highest quality to be better than new. These gears come with a black powder coated tube, making for a very nice finish.
