12th century poet Jayadeva, famous for his Gita Govindam, once sat down to compose an ashtapadi (a poem which is a set of eight couplets). As he was writing it, a particular verse came to his mind.Smara garala khandanam mama shirasi mandanamdehi pada pallavam udaaramJwalati mayi daaruno madana kadanaanaloHaratu tadupaahita vikaaram  Which roughly translates to Krishna addressing Radha as follows :Oh Radha, put out the fire of our longing by placing your tender feet on My head ! .Jayadeva stopped. How could anyone, even Radha Rani, place their feet on the head of the Supreme Lord Krishna, master of the universe ? It didn’t seem acceptable. He almost felt guilty of having such a thought come to his mind.
