Melted Marine Debris Earrings

These earrings get their color from the fibers of ropes and nets which are recovered during local beach cleanup efforts.  Selected cuts of rope are taken home before being washed and dried.  Cleaned portions are then unwoven into their individual fibers which is melted together with post-consumer packaging waste to create this lightweight and durable material. Earwires are made from .925 Sterling Silver.
