Railroad Date Nails 1912 to 1942 Years available, Rusty architectural salvage steampunk jewelry hardware art
These nails were hammered into a railroad tie, or telephone pole. The number is for the year so the workers would know when the ties were placed and then rechecked throughout the years. They are a little dirty, rusty and oily but, They can easily be cleaned with a wire brush. Alot of great crafting projects with these little pieces of history. IT E M ∙ S P E C I F I C A T I O N S: - NAILS: Nails are aprox 2 1/2" long give or take, some are tiny heads measuring from 3/8" to 1/2". They are all different and have imperfections. They are all authentic date nails - MATERIAL: Metal is Steel C A R E ∙ T I P S: - I did not clean the nails. The only thing i might use on them is a wire brush or tooth brush to clean it up. Otherwise keep them as is. - Store your beloved treasure in a cool dry place
