Cosmos, 'Cupcake White'
(Cosmos bipinnatus) We've admired the cupcake series of cosmos for many years, and adding it to our catalog of flowers has been on our to-do list for quite a while now. We love cosmos as cutflowers... they add such a wild and untamed elegance to bouquets and arrangements. Cupcake blooms are simply adorable; instead of having several petals surrounding the cheerful yellow centers, the petals have fused to a single, continuous, ruffled bowl about 3-4" across (so-named because they take the appearance of a cupcake wrapper). Big, bushy 4' plants are covered in blooms from midsummer. Like many white varieties of cosmos, it throws an occasional blushed pink (we will continue selecting for pure white). 75-90 days. TR Packet: 75 seeds (pictures from our friend Anaka of Twisp River Seeds) [split] Growing Info SOWING: Sow indoors 4-6 weeks before your last frost. Transplant out after last frost. Direct seed after last frost. Note: Dependable, long blooming, and pollinator attracting. PLANTING
