(Gypsophila elegans) Baby’s breath needs no introduction. Easy to grow, elegant sprays of delicate white flowers on fine stems add a classic, weightless airiness to bouquets. A good choice to succession plant throughout the season, it is very quick from seed/transplant to bloom. 18-24" tall. 50-60 days. Note: May direct seed every 2-3 weeks for continuous blooms. Gentle while transplanting!  PLANTING DEPTH: 1/8" SPACING: 8" in rows 12-15" apart. EMERGENCE: 6-14 days @ soil temp 70F LIGHT: Full sun to part shade FERTILITY: Poor to Average. Prefers well-drained, and evenly moist soil that is lower in fertility. Slight stems will fall (especially in rain) if growth is too fast! ADDITIONAL NOTES: While not absolutely necessary, you may provide support to keep them upright and tidy. Grown in blocks they tend to support one another unless it rains often. Cut when 1/3-1/2 of flowers are open and expect a vase life of one week. May sear ends, or place in very hot water and allow to cool, if stems are drooping.
