A word from Chris: In 1964 Geraldine Santoro died after receiving an unsafe abortion in a motel room in Connecticut. In 1973 Ms. magazine published the heart-wrenching police photo of Santoro’s body with a simple declaration, “never again.”  Fifty years later, we’re still fighting for safe abortion access for all. “Never again” is a pledge and rallying cry. Consider steps that you can take to support this cause:  Donate to abortion funds and independent abortion clinics. Two places to get started are The National Network of Abortion Funds and Keep Our Clinics.  Talk about the importance of abortion access, and normalize it as basic healthcare.  Spread the word about the existence and effectiveness of pill-based medical abortions that use mifepristone and misoprostol.  Vote and petition your lawmakers.
