Flow-Warming Decoction 溫經湯 Source: Essentials from the Golden Cabinet (c. 220) Ingredients for 1 bulk herb vacuum sealed bag: Wu Zhu Yu (Evodiae Fructus) 18g Gui Zhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus) 12g Dang Gui (Angelicae sinensis Radix) 12g Chuan Xiong (Chuanxiong Rhizoma) 12g Bai Shao Yao (Paeoniae Radix) 12g E Jiao (Asini Corii Colla) (dissolve in strained decoction) 12g Mai Men Dong (Ophiopogonis Radix) 48g Mu Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex) 12g Ren Shen (Ginseng Radix) 12g Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix) 12g Sheng Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma recens) * 12g Zhi Ban Xia (Pinelliae Rhizoma preparatum) 24g Suggested dose: 1 bag over 2-4 days. The above dosage is doubled from the original source. * Sheng Jiang needs to be added by the patient or practitioner. One quarter slice is usually ~ 3 grams. Note: Originally in the Golden Cabinet the dosage for Mai Men Dong and Ban Xia is in sheng, which is a volume measure. For this formula the conversion is 1 sheng = 24g.
