BOOK / LUIS BARRAGAN. "Architect of light and silence"
Art / Architecture Luis Barragán was born in Guadalajara in 1902. He studied engineering and, inspired by his travels to Europe and Africa, began in Mexico what would become his personal way of practicing architecture. He established a respectful dialogue with trees and vegetation, and decided to incorporate water and its sound, as well as the color and texture of materials, into his creative work. Emotionally, he chose silence, spirituality, and the intimacy of spaces. "My work is autobiographical... I try to transpose to the contemporary world the magic of those distant years filled with nostalgia."
