STORIES In short, the first short story compilation promoted by the Gran Canaria Island Council and Astiberri Ediciones, includes a total of 12 winning entries (three first prizes—€3,000, €1,500, and €1,000, respectively—and nine runners-up—€400 each; a total of €9,100 in cash has been awarded). A total of 297 different proposals were submitted to this first call, which aims to be held biannually.
