VA-418-Craftsman Series - The Crusader Mark II Medieval Arming Sword

The Valiant Armoury Crusader Mark II Medieval Arming Sword Craftsman Series This is the 2nd iteration of our Crusader sword. We have redesigned the pommel and changed the weight and cross section of the guard. The scabbard and integral belt has been redesigned and upgraded including adding a hand sewn rain flap at the scabbard throat The blade is the same though now it is made from 5160 rather than the 6150 we have used previously The blades are precision ground to specs.  We normalize the steel prior to heat treat to refine the grain structure of the steel to produce a more uniform distribution of carbon content throughout the blade. Our heat treat oven is state of the art and very accurate. The blade is tempered to a Rockwell 52 for strength, resiliency and toughness. Following tempering we check for cracks and inclusions then the blades are then hand finished and sharpened with an apple-seed edge on the Craftsman Series bladesThe sword fittings are made in our shop using the stock removal method. The Grip and Scabbard cores are custom made for each sword and wrapped in quality top grain leather then hand dyed to the customers requested colors.
