Now, during Easy Company’s assault on Foy, Belgium, he’ll rely on everything he’s learned. A German sniper is at work. At first, Shifty saw just a cloud of breath. The sniper was around a corner, lying in wait. But this time when the enemy shows himself, Shifty is ready. His M1 barks, and his comrades press on.
