For 30 years I had tried to catch a Palomino trout, and during that time I’ve started calling them Jalapeños instead because they’re an indication of hot fishing. Well whenever I took this lure design out for its maiden field test low and behold I finally landed one. After 30 years I finally popped a “jalapeño” so with that the name and the VaLure: “The Jalapeño Popper” was born
