If Alberto and Silvia made a 'grand cru' bottling, this would be it. Grapes come from three parcels (Manzaniña, Ixertal and Casal) and are slowly pressed whole cluster into 2200 liter used French Oak barrels. The juice receives battonage weekly through out the first month, then peacefully rests on its lees for 9 months. A perfect example of how they let nature do the work, the wine finished with 9 grams of residual sugar, but finishes dry on the palate thanks to the brilliant natural acidity these old vines provide. As irresistible as it is now, this wine will age gracefully for decades to come.[Kirk Sutherland]
