  VANGUARD No.5 Selvedge Denim Kimono is the 5th installment in this unique American-Made Cone Mills Denim Kimono. This kimono is slightly roomier than our comp kimonos and is lightweight. It features our signature 4-piece jacket with 5-piece pant construction. It is lined and trimmed with vintage “Deadstock” Japanese mini-pinstripe indigo denim. The collar features a multi-colored “Chain-Stitch” finish, as well as triple needle seams for a stronger, more durable product. The VANGUARD Kimono is pre-laundered with an enzyme and silicone finish for a deluxe texture and soft feel.  NOTE: This kimono WILL NOT shrink. Repeat - it will not shrink and comes up slightly shorter in the arm/pant length compared to a new Vanguard (unwashed) kimono. Please keep this in mind and if you are on the taller side in arms / legs you will need to order a size up. Wash separately to avoid any color-contamination from the indigo denim dye.
