HEMS, ALTERATIONS & REPAIRS WORKSHOP
Saturday, April 26th, 2:00pm - 4:30pm This class will be held at Vecina, 544 Biden Street, Downtown Scranton. The workshop size is limited to 5 people and is designed to start at 16 years old. You will be provided with a JUKI HZL-353Z home machine for all classes. If you have your own machine, you can schedule a private lesson if you would like to learn how to use it. Because sewing machines can be finicky (and difficult & challenging) at times, the only personal machine students can use is a newly purchased JUKI HZL-353Z. During the workshop you will learn the essential skills required to hem, alter and repair clothing. You will also learn about pressing and will use different pressing tools that will make hemming and altering a breeze! For alterations, you will learn how to take in the waist, and take in side seams on tops, jackets, dresses and skirts. We will also focus on hemming pants and skirts, with and without lining. We will also do the same for sleeves, with and with
