Antique Brick-Red Faceted Glass beads, African Trade, Bohemian or Venetian, group of 4
On offer here is a set of 4 antique brick-red glass beads come from African Trade. They are handmade, dating to mid to late 1800ss, apparently made to imitate carnelian. While it is widely believed these beads are Bohemian, there are several respectable sources stating that these beads are actually Venetian. Several groups of 4 are available. The photos of different groups are taken in somewhat different lighting conditions, and they show well how the color varies with lighting. All groups are exactly the same color, but look darker or lighter depending on the light.
