This strand of 33 antique black coral silver-inlaid prayer beads from Yemen. Called “yusr” in Yemen, these beads are from a tasbih. The color of the beads range from black to light espresso, which is an indication of the age of the beads (newer beads are usually shiny black). There are two strand options in this listing. Both are slightly over 16" long Strand BCSI_4 has 33 round 12-13mm coral beads, a 41x9mm imam bead and 2 small bi-cone coral separator beads. It weighs 56g. Strand BCSI_5 has 32 round coral beads about 11-12mm in diameter, 29x5 mm, and 2 coral-red separator beads that appear to be plastic. It weighs 40g. The coral beads are old, worn, antique natural untreated black coral from the Red Sea. Some beads show substantial wear, a few are chipped. Please see the photos for detail. Collectible beads, a favorite among jewelry designers, they are becoming increasingly rare. The exact age of these beads is not know, but they likely date to the early 1900s. Weights and sizes are
