Handbuilt in California by Gene Baker — one of Fender’s very first Custom Shop Master Builders — the B3 Telstar blends vintage feel, boutique precision, and modern versatility. Finished in stunning Sonic Blue nitrocellulose lacquer, this guitar radiates timeless style with a tone that easily competes with Suhr, Novo, and Fender Custom Shop instruments. The Telstar features a bog pine body for a resonant and lightweight response, paired with a flame maple neck (10/56V profile) and rosewood fingerboard for a perfect blend of snap and warmth. It’s equipped with Lollar pickups — a Special T in the bridge and ’64 Staggered singles in the middle and neck — wired through a VT 10-way FreeWay switching system that offers a wide palette of tones. A MannMade hybrid tremolo and nickel hardware complete this boutique build, offering expressive playability and reliability on stage or in the studio.
