  INDICAID® (OTC) ‘Over The Counter’ Rapid Antigen Tests   The INDICAID™ COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test is a lateral flow immunoassay intended for the qualitative detection of nucleocapsid protein antigen from SARS-CoV-2 in direct anterior nasal swab specimens collected from individuals who are suspected of COVID-19.* Reimbursement for COVID-19 OTC antigen tests was authorized by the Families First Coronovirus Response Act (“FFCRA”) and amended through the Coronovirius Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES”) beginning for any and all COVID-19 OTC antigen tests purchased on or after April 4, 2022, through the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency.
