Maple Sugar Cubes

One of the very first products we knew we wanted to offer when we started Vermont Crafted was fresh maple candy in a small versatile size that could be enjoyed on its own or as an ingredient. It was surprisingly hard to find! Here's a dirty little secret - most of the maple candy available is encapsulated by a "crystal coating" - which may or may not be made out of maple syrup - to prevent it from drying out and extend its shelf life.  Inspired by one of the best things we've ever tasted - a maple "creemee" topped with fresh maple sugar crumbles at a town fair on a hot summer day - we set out to find a maker that would create fresh maple candy for us in bite size pieces.  Lucky for us, the folks at Wood's Maple are like-minded and already up to the task!  These melt-in-your-mouth treats are NOT like the dried out maple candy that's been sitting on a store shelf.  Whether you mix them in oatmeal, yogurt, ice cream, batter....or just enjoy them on their own, we're sure you'll be delighte
