~June Bride Finished Piece~Bride Box

This lovely piece is reminiscent of the antique bride boxes that use to be given as wedding gifts or love gifts from the groom.  Worked with lovely Valdani Perle cotton & Moire' wool threads this punched piece has been designed & created entirely by me and would make a lovely gift for a future bride or perhaps for yourself :).   **  The punched piece is done in rich greens, browns, creams with just a touch of spiced orange.  I've backed the punched piece with hand dyed brown wool that I've blanket stitched to the punch piece and finished off with a lovely scalloped edge.  I've then placed the piece on top of a paper mache box that I have painted, aged and waxed with my own recipe of wonderfully scented beeswax paste.  I've also added a bit of a decorative swirl design on the front.Entire piece measures approx. 8" x 4" and will come to you signed, dated & decoratively packaged.   Thank you for stopping by :) Doreen
