Virginia Wildrye Grass Seeds (Elymus virginicus)

Virginia Wildrye - Elymus virginicus - Used for soil stabilization and re-vegetation of wetlands; often found with Riverbank Wildrye: provides food and cover for wildlife. It is a short-lived cool season bunch grass growing to 3-6' tall; shade tolerant; moderately drought tolerant; no salt tolerance and blooms June - October. Averages approx. 3-6 feet in height Light Requirement: Sun, Partial Shade, Shade Seeding Rate: 10 lbs. per acre or 1 lb. per 1000 sq. ft. for small plantings. If mixing with wildflowers use 25% of this grass seed to 75% wildflower seed.
