Allspice Fragrance Note
Allspice Mythology Also known as "Jamaican Pepper" this dried unripe fruit comes from the Pimenta Dioicia tree native to the Islands in the Caribbean Sea. It was named Allspice because its aromatic scent and taste is said to be similar to a combination of several popular spices including cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, pepper, and juniper berries. Brewed into a tea, this little berry has been know to aid with digestion, colds and menstrual cramps. As a salve it can be applied to sore joints, bruises, teeth as an effective pain reliever. The Mayan Indians used Allspice for centuries to embalm the bodies of their sacred leaders.
