VetroSafe® StrainView Large Format Strain Birefringence Visualizer

The VetroSafe® StrainView is a system for viewing strain birefringence in glass and polymer objects. Strain birefringence appears as a visible "rainbow" pattern under cross-polarized light indicating locations within the substrate where internal stresses exist that correspond to sources of weakness and/or likely locations of crack formation. Unlike conventional strain birefringence testers that use a fixed position analyzing polarizer which limits the size of objects capable of fitting between the plates, our StrainView system features large-format 14" display screen in combination with a set of polarized eyewear - enabling the worker to check for strain birefringence in large and irregularly shaped items. The extremely bright display panel enables light transmission through semi-opaque materials. The panel is free standing on any surface and can be adjusted over a range of angles from around 30 degrees to 60 degrees inclination, or can be wall mounted. Contents: 14 inch Display Panel
