Mezuzah Scroll

Our Kosher scrolls, which are handmade in Israel, are designed to fit perfectly inside your Via Maris mezuzah. While a klaf’s inscription is traditionally handwritten by a male scribe (sofer), Via Maris sources their scrolls from a progressive international women’s collective of soferets. These female scribes specialize in calligraphy for mezuzahs (as well as inscribing scrolls for Torahs, megillas and ketubahs). Sacred texts’ calligraphy is painstaking, and each letter of the religious item must be carefully transcribed — a klaf can take up to three hours to complete by hand.
