This roasted Kwan Yin (tieguanyin), made from excellent material, carries the Anxi terroir's characteristic buttery feeling and minerality. The light roast draws out a dark sweetness not unlike licorice root. The roasted warmth makes this tea very welcoming and accessible. It is an easy to to make with Gong Fu cha. But don't leave your brew unattended, the iron bite means you must stay just mindful enough. Peddlers Note: Rides the edge of comfort tea and connoiseur.
