The cucumbers are about 6" long and have a crisp, tender texture with small seeds - ideal for crunchy pickles! This variety is known for high yields and disease resistance, especially against scab and mosaic virus. Trellising can help improve yields and keep fruit off the ground. We loved that these cucumbers were so easy to grow, with prolific fruit production and hardy plants. Planting Instructions: Start National Pickling Cucumber seeds indoors 3 weeks before last spring frost and transplant after all danger of frost has passed and soil has warmed a bit. Or direct sow 1/2" deep, 12-18" apart in rows 36-60" apart. Water at the base of the plant and keep soil evenly moist.
