This is a Virtual Course - learn from home! Join me in recreating the vintage shoes of our dreams, learn new techniques in the process, improve our shoemaking abilities, and have fun! This season's recreation project is the gold shell shoe by Bally, Swiss from 1939. This shoe has a collection of interesting elements which made me eager to tackle it: the shell shape, the fact that it's puffy, the overall construction - figuring out how they pieced together the different parts of the upper...All while being a technically not-so-difficult to assemble shoe. There are no stiffeners, so we skip that step. But there are plenty of openings, so we tackle the trick to give us a flat edge for better adhesion of the outsole. Overall a fun project for anyone looking to learn/practice shoemaking & own a pair of these beauties. I focus each step on being highly explained so a shoemaker of any level is welcome to take this on! Course videos are pre-recorded to allow you to learn at your own pace
